Soccer Recap: Bishop McNamara Takes a Loss

Bishop McNamara lost against Marian Central Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fightin' Irish took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. Bishop McNamara have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Ella Langellier, who's now up to nine this season.

Bishop McNamara's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Marian Central Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6-1.

Bishop McNamara will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wilmington at 3:00 p.m. on the 17th. Bishop McNamara will be up against Wilmington's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.08 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marian Central Catholic, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Crystal Lake South on the 10th.
