Basketball Game Preview: Red River Roughriders vs. West Fargo Packers

The Red River Roughriders are taking a road trip to challenge the West Fargo Packers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Red River knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matchups -- so hopefully West Fargo likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Red River beat Sheyenne 69-65. The Roughriders haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Fargo). They snuck past Fargo North with a 97-93 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Packers.

West Fargo's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Red River, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Red River didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against West Fargo when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with an 83-78 victory. Does Red River have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Fargo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
