Utica Academy of Science extends road losing streak to nine

Recap: Utica Academy of Science Atoms vs. Corcoran Cougars
On Thursday, things could have been worse for Utica Academy of Science, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-42 loss to Corcoran.
Akol Machteng and Doneilious King j.r certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Machteng dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while King j.r scored 22 points along with two steals. King j.r is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
Utica Academy of Science's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Corcoran, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Utica Academy of Science will take on Green Tech at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Corcoran won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Henninger at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Henninger comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
