Basketball Recap: Obion County Takes a Loss

Obion County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 60-25 loss at the hands of the Westview Chargers. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.

Westview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Evans, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mccall Sims, who earned 14 points.

Obion County's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3. As for Westview, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Obion County has already played their next match, a 57-33 win against Lake County on the 3rd. As for Westview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-33 victory against Dyer County on the 3rd.
