Volleyball Recap: Aubry Dowling and Amelia Anderson Secure Win for Mt. Vernon + How To Watch

Mt. Vernon had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Noblesville Millers. This was payback for the Marauders, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mt. Vernon wouldn't go down easily and took Noblesville into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-14, 25-22, 19-25, 15-8.

Leading Mt. Vernon to victory were Amelia Anderson and Aubry Dowling. Anderson had 22 digs and three aces, while Dowling had 22 digs and four assists. Those 22 digs gave Anderson a new career-high.

Noblesville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Piper Endris, who had 15 digs and two aces. Miranda Bledsoe was another key player, getting 14 digs and four aces.

Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Noblesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Mt. Vernon has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Heritage Christian on the 21st. As for Noblesville, they will venture away from home to face off against Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
