Football Recap: Libby Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 31 points the game before, Libby was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a blow against the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries, falling 46-9. The Loggers have struggled against the Vikings & Valkyries recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Tristan Andersen threw for 83 yards on 11 of 25 attempts. Isaac Lamere was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards.

Cole Schmit looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 161 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in one rushing score. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Ryeln Rodriguez, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Libby's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bigfork, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Libby will challenge Ronan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Loggers will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bigfork, they will take on Polson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
