After a string of five wins, Borah's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to the Hillcrest Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 46-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Borah lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brinley Chase, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 16 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Kya Davis, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Borah's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Hillcrest, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borah will be home for the holidays to greet Rocky Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hillcrest will take on Preston in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
