Football Recap: Brock Piles Up the Points Against Lake Worth

Brock won the last time they faced Lake Worth and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles breezed past the Bullfrogs to the tune of 67-7. With the Eagles ahead 47-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Brock got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Holt Frazier out in front who threw for 195 yards and five touchdowns on only nine passes. Another receiver making a difference was Colt Matlock, who picked up 132 receiving yards and three TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Brock proved: they limited Lake Worth to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. While five picked up at least five total tackles, Matlock stood above the rest. He picked up 132 receiving yards and three scores. Brock didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.7.

Brock has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 59.5 points this season. As for Lake Worth, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brock is headed away from home for the first time to take on Aubrey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Worth, they will head out to face off against Krum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
