Basketball Recap: Naples Classical Comes Up Short

Naples Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 62-49 to the Donahue Catholic Shamrocks. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 86-71 last Wednesday.

Leading Donahue Catholic to victory were Max Allen and Isaac Loboda. Allen almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards, while Loboda dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Loboda's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jack Kadlec was another key player, putting up nine points.

Naples Classical's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Donahue Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Naples Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Donahue Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-49 win against The Village School of Naples on the 30th.
