Softball Recap: Summit's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Summit unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Forrest Rockets by a score of 7-6. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Summit saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Cathey, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Forrest, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Summit will welcome Mount Juliet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Forrest, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-2 loss against Dickson County on the 12th.
