Preview: East Moline United vs. East Peoria
On Friday, East Peoria are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against East Moline United at 7:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
East Peoria fought the good fight in their overtime contest last Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Streator. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but East Peoria was outplayed in the second half.
Meanwhile, East Moline United couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-21 punch to the gut against Davenport West last week.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous match, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
