Cowan's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They snuck past the Elwood Panthers with a 60-54 victory. For the Blackhawks, this counts as revenge for the 42-40 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

Cowan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Clifford led the charge by going 6-for-11 en route to 22 points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Clifford a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Gentry Groves, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Cowan's record is now 5-14. As for Elwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Coming up, Cowan will venture away from home to square off against Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elwood, they will welcome Morristown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
