Softball Recap: Tillamook Cheesemakers vs. St. Helens Lions

Tillamook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Helens Lions, falling 16-2. If the Cheesemakers were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jaylin Krumweide made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Tillamook's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for St. Helens, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tillamook is set to take on their familiar foe Astoria at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Helens will square off against rival Scappoose at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
