Football Game Preview: Hilton Cadets vs. Aquinas Institute Little Irish

The Hilton Cadets will venture away from home to face off against the Aquinas Institute Little Irish at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hilton's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Aquinas Institute's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Aquinas Institute will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Hilton extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Cadets never let Brighton get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cadets, who have now won three contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Aquinas Institute hadn't done well against McQuaid Jesuit recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Little Irish came out on top against the Knights by a score of 21-14.

Hilton better keep an eye on Jeff Logan. He was instrumental in Aquinas Institute's win, rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Logan really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run. Brody Lennox got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hilton's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2. As for Aquinas Institute, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Hilton ended up a good deal behind Aquinas Institute when the teams last played back in October of 2024, losing 31-14. Can the Cadets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
