After a string of four wins, Gwynn Park's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers by a score of 13-12. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 22-5.

Kaitlyn Curry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Curry is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Etagha Mbutambe was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

Gwynn Park's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Gwynn Park will take on Friendly at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
