Recap: Taylor Ducks vs. Boerne Greyhounds
The Taylor Ducks and the Boerne Greyhounds squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Taylor Ducks had to settle for second. Taylor took a 42-28 bruising from Boerne. Taylor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Taylor had strong showings from Jacob Mikulencak, who picked up 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Joshua Mikulencak, who threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns. Mikulencak was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boerne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adam Hicks, who rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Hutson Hendrix also helped out as he racked up 106 rushing yards.
Taylor now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Boerne, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boerne will head out on the road to face off against La Vernia at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (La Vernia is ranked 206th, while Boerne is ranked 221st).
