Basketball Game Preview: SEED vs. Northeast Eagles

SEED will face off against the Northeast Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. SEED will be strutting in after a victory while Northeast will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, SEED turned things around against Varsity Opponent on Monday. Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as they made off with a 45-21 win.

Meanwhile, Northeast played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-22 to Annapolis. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Panthers are ranked 22nd).

SEED will need focus on slowing down Brynn Jones, one of several Northeast players who made an impact when they last played. She posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Jones has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 25 times she's played. Another player making a difference was London Jeffers, who earned three points and seven boards.

SEED's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Northeast, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
