Basketball Recap: Red Rock Comes Up Short

Red Rock lost against Fountain Hills back in January of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Rock Scorpions were dealt a 65-33 loss at the hands of the Fountain Hills Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Falcons are ranked 92nd).

Red Rock's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Fountain Hills, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Rock will host Phoenix Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fountain Hills, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Fountain Hills Falcons duke it out with the Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fountain Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
