Baseball Recap: Canby Comes Up Short

Canby lost against Central Minnesota Christian back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lancers fell just short of the Bluejays by a score of 8-6.

Jace Sigler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Abrahamson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Canby now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Central Minnesota Christian, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Canby is set to square off against their familiar foe Dawson-Boyd at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Central Minnesota Christian will challenge rival Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
