Basketball Recap: Crystal Lake Central Takes a Loss

Crystal Lake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 64-39 to the Cary-Grove Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Trojans are ranked 199th).

Crystal Lake Central's record now sits at 6-22. As for Cary-Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crystal Lake Central will face off against Crystal Lake South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crystal Lake South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Crystal Lake Central likes a good challenge. As for Cary-Grove, they will take on Prairie Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
