Baseball Recap: Rowe Has No Trouble Against Mcallen

Rowe's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They blew past the McAllen Bulldogs 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted against the Bulldogs since March 17, 2022.

Javier Garcia and JC Garza Jr. made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Garcia didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Meanwhile, Garza Jr. pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Garcia has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Garcia went 3-for-4 with three doubles and four RBI, while Garza Jr. scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Garcia a new career-high in doubles.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Leon, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Garza, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Rowe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McAllen only posted a batting average of .087.

Rowe's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for McAllen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rowe will challenge Sharyland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sharyland's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Rowe's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McAllen, they will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
