Recap: Wooddale Cardinals vs. Sheffield Knights
The Wooddale Cardinals were the 41-0 winner over the Sheffield Knights when they last played one another back in October of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Wooddale had to suffer through a rough 42-14 loss at the hands of Sheffield. Wooddale's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Sheffield was led to victory by Davion Sledge and Radarious Jackson. Sledge threw for 131 yards and three touchdowns, while Jackson picked up 110 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Wooddale's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Sheffield, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Wooddale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sheffield will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Ripley at 7:00 p.m.
