Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pickens). Everything went their way against the North Murray Mountaineers on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Pickens' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 146th, while North Murray are ranked 386th).

Pickens now has a winning record of 6-5. As for North Murray, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pickens will welcome Ridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Murray, they will square off against Murray County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
