Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salinas). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-14 victory over the Monterey Dores. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Kieran Toby threw for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes. Joshua Bautista was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards and one score.

The win made it two in a row for Salinas and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.5 points over those games. As for Monterey, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Salinas will head out to take on Palma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys will need to watch out since the Chieftains have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Monterey, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hollister at 7:30 p.m.
