Basketball Recap: New Bloomfield Piles Up the Points Against Community

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Callaway, New Bloomfield was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Community Trojans 71-42. That 29 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

New Bloomfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Fuhriman, who went 8 for 13 en route to 17 points and three steals. Fuhriman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Massman, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points and three blocks.

New Bloomfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

New Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Community, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

New Bloomfield will face off against Paris at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. New Bloomfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season. As for Community, they will square off against Bunceton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
