Baseball Recap: Malverne Comes Up Short

Malverne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Island Trees Bulldogs.

Gennaro Izzo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jason Miletic, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Malverne's loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Island Trees beat the Mules by a score of 7-0 on Tuesday.
