Oswego waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Downers Grove South Mustangs. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Oswego's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Downers Grove South are ranked 109th).

Oswego's victory bumped their record up to 16-2-2. As for Downers Grove South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5-2 record this season.

Oswego will venture away from home to take on Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainfield North will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Oswego surely won't give up without a fight. As for Downers Grove South, they will welcome Hinsdale South at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Downers Grove South will need to watch out since Hinsdale South have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches.
