Soccer Recap: Waynesburg Central Takes a Loss

Waynesburg Central lost against Charleroi back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Raiders fell 3-1 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Waynesburg Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 431st, while Charleroi are ranked 194th).

Waynesburg Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season. As for Charleroi, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Waynesburg Central will head out to take on Brownsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charleroi, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greensburg Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
