Basketball Recap: Middle Creek Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from George Daniels and Brittain Queen

If Middle Creek was feeling good fresh off their 58-32 takedown of Seaforth on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 58-42 bruising from the Cleveland Rams on Monday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Middle Creek had strong showings from Brittain Queen, who posted 20 points, and George Daniels, who scored 12 points and five assists. Queen's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Ben Shaffer was another key player, putting up two points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Middle Creek fell to 3-1. As for Cleveland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middle Creek will host Apex at 6:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Cleveland, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Johnston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
