Volleyball Recap: Schurz Takes a Loss

Schurz and Prosser squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Schurz had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Schurz was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20.

Schurz has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11-2 record this season. As for Prosser, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-14.

Schurz does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prosser, they will face off against Payton College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
