Soccer Game Preview: Cedarcrest vs. Mercer Island + How To Watch

The Cedarcrest Red Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Mercer Island Islanders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Cedarcrest sitting on four straight victories and Mercer Island on seven.

Cedarcrest's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Juanita. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Cedarcrest's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Juanita are ranked 233rd).

Meanwhile, Mercer Island won against Newport - Bellevue on Thursday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. Everything went the Islanders' way against Hazen as they made off with a 3-0 win. Mercer Island might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

Cedarcrest now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Mercer Island, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1.

Cedarcrest couldn't quite get it done against Mercer Island when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Red Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
