Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fresno Christian last Friday, Ridgeview came back down to earth. The Ridgeview Wolf Pack took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mendota Aztecs on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Wolf Pack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 510th, while the Aztecs are ranked 191st).

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Mendota, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sanger at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Mendota, they will head out on the road to challenge Chowchilla at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
