Volleyball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

If Valley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Crossroads on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Crystal City Hornets on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since October 9th.

Reagan Schrum paced Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Schrum got some help from Hallie Abney and her 14 assists. Abney also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alivia Boyer, each putting up two.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11-4. As for Crystal City, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-10-3.

Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crystal City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bismarck on the 27th.
