Basketball Game Preview: Bedford Bearcats vs. Barberton Magics

The Bedford Bearcats will face off against the Barberton Magics at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Barberton will be up against a hot Bedford squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Bedford walked away with a 61-48 victory over Maple Heights on Saturday.

Alliance typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Barberton proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Aviators by a score of 71-61. The win was all the more spectacular given the Magics' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Aviators are ranked 101st).

Barberton's win came from a few key players Bedford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kardiay Tyler, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine steals. The match was his third in a row with at least 16 points. De'Arion Holley was another key player, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 24 rebounds.

Bedford's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. As for Barberton, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-12.
