Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Coolidge

Coolidge had won two straight games and Preston Dees did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Coolidge Bears managed a 47-43 win over the Seton Catholic Sentinels thanks in part to Dees, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 boards. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Porter Dees, who posted eight points and six rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Despite the loss, Seton Catholic still got an impressive performance from Dylan Alvidrez, who went 8 for 14 en route to 21 points. Those 21 points gave Alvidrez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Morris, who had six points.

Coolidge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Seton Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Coolidge has already played their next contest, a 63-58 defeat against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on the 25th. As for Seton Catholic, they will host Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Seton Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
