Basketball Recap: Clarksville Academy Takes a Loss

Clarksville Academy lost a heartbreaker to Ezell-Harding Christian when they met back in January, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Clarksville Academy Cougars took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ezell-Harding Christian Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Ezell-Harding Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mj Gibbs, who posted 22 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Noah Kaufmann, who put up 17 points.

Clarksville Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Clarksville Academy and Goodpasture Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-45 win against Lancaster Christian Academy on the 14th.
