Lafayette extended their postseason success on Wednesday against New Hope. They beat the Trojans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Commodores sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Mabry Eason was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Eason was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Zanieya Booker was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jenny Dreher, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 26-6. As for New Hope, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-9.

Lafayette will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
