Baseball Game Preview: South Columbus Stallions vs. East Bladen Eagles

The South Columbus Stallions will venture away from home to take on the East Bladen Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Columbus is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

On Tuesday, South Columbus got the win against West Columbus by a conclusive 9-1. Considering the Stallions have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, East Bladen's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Heide Trask by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 18, 2024.

South Columbus pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for East Bladen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

South Columbus took their victory against East Bladen in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 19-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
