Football Recap: Specially Fit Academy Falls Short of IMG Academy Junior National in the Playoffs

Specially Fit Academy and IMG Academy Junior National squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Specially Fit Academy had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Ascenders, falling 37-7. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Ascenders are ranked 114th).

Even if they lost, Specially Fit Academy's defensive line still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. IMG Academy Junior National's QB won't forget Daniel Wojnowski anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Wojnowski is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least nine every time he's taken the field this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Savyan Alteon Senat and Cayden Gould. Senat rushed for 68 yards and a pair of scores while Gould gained 58 total yards and two touchdowns.

Specially Fit Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for IMG Academy Junior National, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

As of now, neither Specially Fit Academy nor the Ascenders have any future games scheduled.
