Recap: Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions vs. Weatherly

The Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions won the last time they faced Weatherly, and things went their way on Monday too. Lincoln Leadership Academy walked away with a 59-52 win over Weatherly. Given Lincoln Leadership Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Weatherly is ranked 570th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Lincoln Leadership Academy to victory were Jonathan Panariello and Carlos Santana. Panariello scored 12 points, while Santana scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Santana has scored all season. Dwight Prud'homme was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Weatherly lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Corbin Wagner, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Matt Adler, who scored 16 points.

Lincoln Leadership Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Weatherly, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln Leadership Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lehigh Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Weatherly, they will take on Shenandoah Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Shenandoah Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
