Maize South had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Maize South's victory bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Basehor-Linwood, they moved to 13-14 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Maize South and Basehor-Linwood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. The Mavericks will face off against Maize at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (4 vs. 91). Meanwhile, Basehor-Linwood (ranked 93rd) will meet Leavenworth (ranked 221st) on Tuesday.
