Baseball Recap: Keshequa Find Success

Keshequa proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Northstar Christian Academy Knights 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since April 24th.

Nolan Therrien made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Keshequa's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Fox, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last six contests. Another player making a difference was Owen Pike, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Keshequa's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Northstar Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Keshequa nor Northstar Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
