Basketball Game Preview: Nelson County Governors vs. Graham G-Men

The Nelson County Governors are taking a road trip to face off against the Graham G-Men at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Nelson County heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They fell to Floyd County 73-68. The Governors' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Bryce Giles, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Nelson County is 18-3 when Giles posts eight or more rebounds, but 1-2 otherwise. Aiden Carter was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 16 points along with six assists and six boards.

Meanwhile, Graham had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 63-50.

Graham's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Nelson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-5.
