Volleyball Recap: Meeker Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jacey Follman and Braydin Raley

Meeker was the 3-1 winner over Coal Ridge when they last played one another back in August of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Cowboys took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Meeker had strong showings from Braydin Raley, who had 12 digs, and Jacey Follman, who had 13 assists and one block. Raley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Meeker's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Coal Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Meeker will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on De Beque at 6:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Coal Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Grand Junction on the 26th.
