Baseball Game Preview: King Philip Regional Warriors vs. Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans

The King Philip Regional Warriors will take on the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. King Philip Regional is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

King Philip Regional's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Milford 1-0. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Not much got past Ryan Higgins, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Milford off the board. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Higgins.

At the plate, King Philip Regional's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Prater, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Kevin Heine also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bridgewater-Raynham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over New Bedford on Monday.

King Philip Regional pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
