Basketball Recap: Triplains/Brewster Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Triplains/Brewster and Dighton squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Triplains/Brewster had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Dighton Hornets and fell 60-7. The loss leaves the Titans still looking for their first win of the season.

Dighton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylee Myers, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Myers a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Rielly James, who earned eight points along with five assists and five steals.

Triplains/Brewster's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Dighton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Triplains/Brewster does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dighton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-44 loss against Hodgeman County on the 1st.
