Veritas Prep lost to Santa Cruz Valley back in April of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Dust Devils with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Logan Cortes, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Mason, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Veritas Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Veritas Prep and bumps their season record up to 9-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Santa Cruz Valley, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8.

Veritas Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 win against Tempe Prep on the 28th. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-4 victory against Miami on the 26th.
