Recap: Alief Elsik Rams vs. Pearland Oilers
The Alief Elsik Rams lost against the Pearland Oilers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Alief Elsik fell 44-31 to Pearland. Alief Elsik has not had much luck with Pearland recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Alief Elsik still got an impressive performance from Tim Ofesi, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds. Ofesi has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. David Uwalaka was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Pearland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ezenna Ibe led the charge by scoring ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Julian Valentine, who scored 11 points.
Alief Elsik's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 6-11. As for Pearland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
Alief Elsik will be playing at home against Shadow Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Creek will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. As for Pearland, they will head out on the road to face off against Alvin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 906th, while Pearland is ranked 203rd).
