Basketball Recap: Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons vs. Loomis Wolves
Wilcox-Hildreth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Loomis Wolves and fell 69-28. The Falcons were down 55-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the loss, Wilcox-Hildreth still got an impressive performance from Micah Johnson, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points.
Loomis got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyson Essex out in front who posted 15 points and five steals. Essex is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Trompke, who went 8 for 13 en route to 16 points.
Wilcox-Hildreth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Loomis, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Wilcox-Hildreth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-39 loss against Ansley/Litchfield on the 18th. As for Loomis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-63 defeat against Dundy County-Stratton on the 18th.
