Crestwood and Dallas are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Comets will host the Mountaineers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Crestwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over Scranton on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Brooke Lenahan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

Crestwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Dallas hadn't done well against Tunkhannock recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mountaineers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mountaineers have posted since May 3, 2024.
NINA BARROUK was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). BARROUK was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Dallas now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Crestwood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Crestwood's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Comets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Dallas, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Crestwood continue to outrun the ball?
Crestwood took their win against Dallas in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Mountaineers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
